About Mariehamn Ferry
Mariehamn was founded in 1861 while �land and Finland formed part of the Russian Empire. Maria, consort of Tsar Alexander II of Russia gave the
town her name. The harbours are built in sheltered bays, providing a haven for ferries travelling between Stockholm and Turku.

Mariehamn is an exciting summer town offering two large marinas, as well as many hotels and restaurants, most within walking distance.
Almost 1.5 million people a year come to �land, the majority arriving by one of the ferries at the Western Harbour of Mariehamn.
Near Mariehamn ferry port passengers will find a good selection of shops and restaurants, with hotels also close at hand. In the ferry port area there
is a good selection of facilities including a restaurant, bar, public toilets and taxi stand. Within 500 meters you will find a tourist information
centre and bureau de change.
Viking Line services the ferry route from Helsinki to Stockholm, which stops at Mariehamn en-route. The entire journey takes 16 hours, with the
Helsinki to Mariehamn section taking 11 hours. This route is serviced once daily, with departures from Helsinki at 17:30, arriving in Marienhamn
port at 4:25 and then sailing on to Stockholm, arriving at 9:30 the following morning. The second route is from the port of Turku to Stockholm,
which stops en route at Marienhamn and L�ngn�s. The journey from Turku to Marienhamn takes 5 hours and 25 minutes. The entire journey, Turku-Stockholm,
takes 10 hours. This service is operated twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. There is also one daily return service
from Marienhamn to Stockholm, departing at 9:00 and arriving in Stockholm at 14:00, onboard the ferry Cinderella. There is also a twice-daily
crossing from Mariehamn to Kapellsk�r, which takes just 1 � hours. Times of this sailing vary seasonally.
